Are we buying Busquets and Dembele?

Re: Side v Huddersfield
Xabi Alonso makes a point that underlines our weakness as a team. He identifies 2 DMs as "Press Resistant" players. Exactly what Bilic has not understood:

"In order to arrive at the opposition’s goal with better conditions as Alonso says, it is expedient to break through the opposition’s press cleanly and that is where players like Sergio Busquests and Mousa Dembele are so important for their teams – in the first phase of build up. This is because this is the most dangerous stage in the build up due to the fact that any turn over in possession will most likely prove to be fatal."

He then talks about another area we are so vulnerable in especially under Bilic.

Transition:
Due to the rise of counter-pressing as a tactic used by the elite teams in football, it is increasingly important for teams to have players that can weather the counter pressing storm that usually comes in the moments after the turnover of possession. Without such players, a team could find themselves pinned in their own half, unable to break out and construct attacks of any real quality with any regularity.

Re: Side v Huddersfield
Ok then

Ill have Adrian in goal with Reid and Collins in defence.
Then Byram and Holland on the right, with Cresswell and Antonio on the left (Sorry Antonio).
Obiang and Kouyate takes care of the middle, with Sakho and Hernendez leading the line.

5-0

Expect we'll see Antonio at wing back, Ayew in behind Carroll and Hernandez, and Noble picked ahead of Obiang.

Re: Side v Huddersfield
So apparently it's 3-5-2 tomorrow, with Carroll to start.

Scary thing remains centre mid.

Assumedly Noble will remain Ayew will play "in behind"...two of our biggest issues.

Personally with the formation and Carroll constraints I'd go:

Hart

Zabaleta
Reid
Ogbonna

Byram
Kouyate
Antonio
Obiang
Cresswell

Carroll
Hernandez

your team, I know what Bilic will do and it will include Ayew, Noble and probably Fernandes

Are we supposed to guess what team we will play, or what team we should play?

Ayew and Noble is in the "will" team, but not in the "should team"

of course he'll be playing, he is the new nolan

Re: Side v Huddersfield
Loads of people not picking Noble but I think it is pretty obvious that he will be playing and because of that and I want kayoute in the team somewhere would have to go with.

Hart
kayoute Reid Ogbonna
Byram Noble Obiang Cresswell
Antonio
Hernandez Sakho

I'd be tempted to shake things up a bit with Lanzini missing.

Hart
Zabaletta Reid Collins
Byram Obiang Kouyate Masuaku
Antonio
Sakho Hernandez

Just let Antonio have a free role anywhere behind Sakho and Hernandez. Could be suicidal football, but we might score more than them!

no knicker wetters allowed at the game tomorrow, we need to man up!

Re: Side v Huddersfield
Working on the basis that we will concede one if not two goals we must start with two strikers plus Antonio and have a third striker up our sleeves. Some creativity in midfield would be useful, what about our 'fifth' signing, the young lad with a long name?

Re: Side v Huddersfield
I think we can safely assume the following from
Billic:

1.He WILL start with Noble & Ayew
2.Rice will be benched despite numerous consistant mistakes from senior pro's who continue to start (see 1.)
3.He won't give little pea a genuine striker partner despite tbe immediate improvement up front when Sakho came on alongside him
4. Wouldn't be surprised if he brought Fonte back after supposedly playing quite well for Portugal. Kind of the bizarre decision we have come to expect from Slav

Re: Side v Huddersfield
Noble cannot be starting games for us any longer. Needs to be coming in late stages of games and playing a role from the bench (if I was noble and cared for this club, I would bench myself) Time to put faith in Rice, and considering we didn't sign anyone in the window, we must have some.

Re: Side v Huddersfield
The most worrying development is that Ayew is fit for Monday. That will seal Bilic's fate when he picks Ayew and Noble in midfield.
